Life-cycle of website development

Website development generally follows a simple life-cycle consisting of few fixed steps:

First is analysis of the website. It has to be cost effective and informative, covering all the important details required for website development. It is generally feasible to include analysis of all aspects ranging from hardware, software, clients, to data.

Building specification in the website comes second in the list. Each and every factor is considered thoroughly for preliminary specification and written proposal is drafted only after complete analysis of preliminary specification.

It is then followed by website design and development of website with images, graphics and content along with its layout and design.

Content writing is very important part of websites. Only relevant, grammatically correct and required text is written on the websites. Spell check is also done for the text as a part of content writing.

After that coding is done on the website. Here codes are added without making any change to the site.

Testing follows the coding process. Testing is a mandatory step. Both automated and manual testing is done for the website.

Then promotion is next step in development of the websites. It is done by various SEO(search engine optimization) techniques like Meta tags, constant analysis and URL submission.

Last is updating and maintaining of website which is depended on complexity of the website and organization’s requirements.
