Responsibilities of a Software Consultant

A software consultant has to perform so many responsibilities. Some of the prominent ones include;

Business Development:
The job is all about generating business prospect for the company. In this phase, software consultants identify needs and communicate them properly so s to convince them to avail suitable services.
Pre-Sales:
In this phase, a consultant makes a presentation focusing on strengths of his company and people. In the presentation, consultants highlight their abilities to create the desired work and a record of their past performances. On the basis of their claims, they issue a “Request-for-proposal (RFP)” – a document that state a problem and asking a consultant company to respond accordingly.
Business Analysis:
In this stage, a consultant will go to the client or vendor company and processes the further means of communication.
Requirement Analysis:
At this stage, a consultant will try to analysis the exact requirement of clients so that they can develop works accordingly.
Solution Testing:
A good consultant involves himself with the setting part to ensure everything has taken care of as per the wishes of clients.
